About khodges2013
Alan and I divide our time between our apartment in Christchurch, New Zealand, and our 11.5m Dutch Cruiser, Silver Fern, on the canals in France. We started out hiring and eventually bought our boat in 2014. The two summers lifestyle is wonderful and we feel very lucky!
Mmmm les fromages look yum! Oh … and the other sights look good too!! Enjoy your last few days. See you when you get back : )

Oops. My mistake with the syntax, perhaps, but that was just the last couple of days we have had here, not to our actual last days! We aren’t home till October. 😜

Beautiful photos, many thanks. Look forward to each and every posting, keep them coming. How about photos of Alan drinking that fine French wine.

Good plan Lee. He just told me he doesn’t drink…sorry… had to pick myself up off the floor from hysterical laughing. Not sure there’s enough room on WordPress for all the shots of Alan drinking but will definitely add some more 🙂

Did you try more of the Sancerre wines? I dont think I really got a good understanding of the region when we were there with you. I’ve tried some Sancerre back here in NZ and it was yummy so I don’t think we tried enough wineries when we were there. Drink more and report back!

So, no budgets, no diets then? Quells surprise:). We had a Pouilly Fumé last night. Domaine Les Chaumes, but from Pouilly-sur-Loire.
Very nice. Reminded me of a NZ wine. Pinot Gris maybe? You will need to return here next year and try yourself!
